Northrup King Building Featured Artist

A thank you to Todd at Angel Bomb Design for using my image of the Potala Palace in some marketing materials for NKB.
Construction on the Potala Palace began in 1645 under the 5th Dalai Lama. The Potala Palace was the chief residence of the 14th Dalai Lama until 1959. Sadly, today the Palace has been converted into a museum by the Chinese.

Art Attack is an annual open studio and gallery crawl at the Northrup King Building, in the heart of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. This weekend long event features over 200 artists working in painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, architecture, custom furniture, fiber, metal, ceramics and lots more.

Studio 258 will be open all weekend so stop in and say hello!

Seward Neighborhood Art Crawl

Friend and client Teri Kwant gave a fun and interesting talk about the public art projects she has created for the City of Minneapolis. She also mentioned a few corporate installations she has recently designed and art directed including this piece we did for Mortenson Construction.

A couple of behind the scenes images from my shoot with Mortenson Construction. The Mortenson folks were more than happy to do a custom concrete pour for the shoot. Once we captured the image I proceeded to vandalize said pour.

I shot a story about gardening last weekend for the New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/02/garden/02starter.html?ref=garden). Good people, interesting conversation and some nice images too. Fun day.
