A Video About My Work
This is a short video with me talking about my work. It was produced by Dale Bluestein at partnershipmedia.tv.
A Photo Assistant
This week I hired Tim Olson (aka A Photo Assistant) to help me on a job. He was great to work with! Over the years I have worked with a few terrible assistants. It's not that they are bad people, it's that they didn't have a clue. It was my first time working with Tim and it will not be my last. All day the only thing I had to take care of was the shot and the client. Every time I turned around to do something Tim was already taking care of it. Great day and I managed to earn the quote of the day on the A Photo Assistant blog !

Stolen Bike!
This is from a Twitter post I did months ago. A friend and client found it and re-tweeted it this week. One day while doing some research (ie: surfing the web) I came across this flyer. As a part time bike commuter the thought of losing my bike to a thief fills me with dread. I believe this flyer succinctly sums up how most of us would secretly feel if we found ourselves in the same situation.

My apologies to the original poster, I unsuccessfully tried to find it online again so I could give credit where credit is due.
Viewville in Minnesota Monthly
The February 2010 issue of Minnesota Monthly features a nice spread of affordable fine art photography from Viewville. Editor Elizabeth Dehn selected seven pieces for inclusion in the magazine and I am happy to say she chose one of my images to showcase. Take a closer look at the selections here: MNMO Featured Prints.

Gopher Stadium
I was shooting a job at the University of Minnesota recently and snapped this shot of the new Gopher stadium. I don't know much about stadiums and I know even less about sports but I do think it would be a riot to bundle up and experience a game in this facility (is that how you say it?).

Northrup King Building Featured Artist
A thank you to Todd at Angel Bomb Design for using my image of the Potala Palace in some marketing materials for NKB.
Construction on the Potala Palace began in 1645 under the 5th Dalai Lama. The Potala Palace was the chief residence of the 14th Dalai Lama until 1959. Sadly, today the Palace has been converted into a museum by the Chinese.

Art Attack is an annual open studio and gallery crawl at the Northrup King Building, in the heart of the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. This weekend long event features over 200 artists working in painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, architecture, custom furniture, fiber, metal, ceramics and lots more.
Studio 258 will be open all weekend so stop in and say hello!
Seward Neighborhood Art Crawl
Friend and client Teri Kwant gave a fun and interesting talk about the public art projects she has created for the City of Minneapolis. She also mentioned a few corporate installations she has recently designed and art directed including this piece we did for Mortenson Construction.
